i know i've just been reposting things from pitchfork, but there has been so much good stuff recently that it's worth it. plus, that's what blogs are for.
i wish i could embed these, but you can just keep this page open and stream these as many times as you want. they're bootleg acoustic versions of two great woods songs; the album versions are much more psychedelic, but these expose a) how good a singer he is, and b) how strong the songs are when they're stripped of their hazy trappings.
